NPP Flagbearer Race: Kennedy Agyapong And Kwabena Agyapong Submit Nomination Forms
Kennedy Agyapong, the sitting MP for Assin Central in the Central Region, and the former general secretary of the NPP Kwabena Agyei Agyepong on Wednesday (21 June) submitted their completed forms to contest the presidential slot of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The two aspirants addressing the media and the scores of supporters at the party’s headquarters in Accra assured citizens that their vision to break the ‘Eight’ in the 2024 general election means that they are giving new hope to citizens.
Kennedy Agyapong in an interview said, “As a Member of Parliament for the past 23 years, I have to admit that the challenge of the government and successive governments is unemployment.”
“And therefore, I have taken it upon myself to make sure I reduce unemployment in this country, I want those of you watching to believe in me that whatever I say, by the Grace of God and with good health, I will deliver,” Agyapong said.
The former general secretary of the NPP Kwabena Agyepong also speaking to the media said: “Ghana is really at a crossroads, and what the country needs urgently now is a NEW DAWN of astute political leadership with a Vision that inspires hope in the youth and rekindles the faith of Ghanaians in our Constitutional Democracy.”
“I am offering myself anchored in the belief that the NPP needs a leader who is intensely action-oriented, passionately mission-driven, very demanding of results, and prepared to chase progress,” he said.
Aside from the two, aspirants like Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,a former Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen, a former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and others have also submitted their completed forms at the party’s headquarters
