NPP Flagbearer race: Coalition of Youth Organisers endorses Bawumia
Over 490 Youth Organisers from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), including both substantive and deputy youth leaders from various constituencies nationwide, have thrown their full support behind former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the party gears up for its presidential primaries in January 2026.
This announcement was made during a meeting where the participants expressed unanimous confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s exceptional leadership, proven track record, and vision for Ghana’s future as the party’s candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
Following the meeting, the coalition issued a statement praising Dr. Bawumia’s unwavering commitment to national development, digital transformation, and sound economic reforms, as well as his dedication to empowering Ghana’s youth.
The group indicated that Bawumia’s innovative policies and forward-thinking governance style position him as the ideal leader to steer Ghana beyond 2028.
As a demonstration of their support, the coalition announced its plans to mobilise resources to collect Dr. Bawumia’s nomination forms on Wednesday, August 13, at 9:00 a.m.

“Our mission is to energise the youth base across the country, ensuring a strong and vibrant grassroots movement in the run-up to the elections,” the statement said.
“We are convinced that Dr. Bawumia has the ability to build an inclusive, resilient, and prosperous Ghana. This is not merely a political endorsement; it is a solemn commitment to shaping a better future for the next generation.”
The coalition also urged “all well-meaning Ghanaians, particularly the youth, to rally behind Dr. Bawumia in his continued quest for economic resilience, job creation, and national progress.”
The statement added that this endorsement is backed by the blessings of their Regional Youth Organisers and the support of the majority of polling station youth leaders across the country.
