The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is scheming to rig the 2024 general elections.
NPP Director of Communications Richard Ahiagbah revealed that his party uncovered a secret document from the NDC which contained strategic plans to frustrate the government’s effort to stabilise the country.
According to Mr. Ahiagbah, the document was drafted in 2021.
He claims the document also outlines methods the NDC seeks to implore to disrupt legislative procedures and prevent the passage of revenue bills in Parliament.
The communications director stated that recent developments in Parliament confirm their findings in the detailed plans uncovered in the confidential document.
He further called on the Majority to work tediously to break the ‘8’ in the upcoming election.

“This secret document is a deliberate ploy by the NDC to hoodwink Ghanaians. In other words to dupe Ghanaians of their votes. From what we have read in the document, the NDC had a plan right from 8 January 2021 to frustrate the government and make it unpopular through foul means to win power.
“One would think that any political opposition party would do the same indeed. That is not problematic if those plans are legitimate and in the nation’s best interest.”
“However, this document we have uncovered from the NDC promotes crude, undemocratic and uncharted means of achieving political power,” Ahiagbah said.
