NPP delegates conference: No entry without accreditation – Osei-Owusu warns
The Chairman of the Planning Committee for the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s upcoming National Delegates Conference, Joseph Osei Owusu, has announced that rigorous accreditation procedures will be strictly enforced to ensure order, security, and the smooth running of the event.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Osei Owusu emphasised that the number of officially accredited delegates expected at the conference is close to 6,000.
“In total, we are expecting nearly 6,000 delegates, however, with additional attendees, including support teams and logistical staff, the number of people present at the venue may rise to about 8,000,” he stated.
He made it clear that entry to the main conference area will be strictly controlled. Only individuals who have been officially accredited by the party will be granted access.
“You may arrive at the precincts, but without accreditation, you will not be allowed inside the main conference grounds, we are not taking any chances. We will be very strict on accreditation,” he said.
Mr. Osei Owusu stressed that this policy is not meant to exclude anyone unfairly but to maintain proper order, enhance security, and ensure that the conference proceedings are not disrupted by unauthorised individuals.
“We want to make this point crystal clear, only accredited individuals will be allowed into the conference venue. No exceptions,” he stated firmly.
He encouraged all delegates, officials, and other attendees to ensure they have their accreditation in place well ahead of the conference date to avoid any inconvenience.
