NPP approves Afenyo-Markin to lead Minority in 9th Parliament
The National Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed the incumbent Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, as leader of the Minority of the NPP Caucus in the Ninth Parliament, starting from January 7, 2025.
The council has also made some appointments in the party’s caucus in Parliament.
They are the current Deputy Majority Leader, Patricia Appiagyei, who has been appointed as the Deputy Minority Leader, and the current Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, who has also been maintained.
The party also appointed the incumbent First Deputy Majority Whip, Habib Iddrisu, as the First Deputy Minority Whip, and the MP for Mpraeso, Davis Opoku, as the Second Deputy Minority Whip.
These appointments were confirmed by the leadership of the NPP caucus.
