No secret recruitment at Kumasi Training school – Police

Source The Ghana Report

The Ghana Police Service has dismissed allegations of a secret recruitment exercise at the Kumasi Police Training School in the Ashanti Region.

In a statement, the police clarified that on Monday, September 2, 2024, they conducted a special operation in Kumasi, resulting in the arrest of 487 suspects linked to the QNET Ponzi scheme.

Due to the large number of suspects, the training school was used as a temporary facility for screening and investigations.

During the screening, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) reportedly arrived at the school, claiming that covert recruitment was taking place.

However, they dispersed after realizing no recruitment was happening.

The police have urged the public to disregard the rumours, calling the claims baseless and deserving of contempt.

They emphasized that the activities at the training school were solely related to the QNET investigation.
