The Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Clement Apaak, has dismissed claims circulating on social media suggesting tension between him and the substantive Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu.

The clarification follows a video featuring commentary by Kelvin Taylor on the With All Due Respect programme, which implied internal challenges within the leadership of the Ministry of Education.

In a statement issued on Friday, January 30, 2026, the Deputy Education Minister said the views expressed in the video do not reflect his experiences or sentiments.

“Hon. Dr. Clement Apaak fully dissociates himself from the claims made by Kelvin Taylor in the video,” the statement said.

The statement stressed that Dr Apaak has never raised any grievances regarding his role or the delegation of responsibilities within the Ministry.

It further noted that Minister Haruna Iddrisu has consistently fostered a collaborative and inclusive working environment, adding that the Deputy Minister continues to play a key role, frequently representing the Ministry at high-level functions and decision-making forums.

The Office of the Deputy Minister has therefore urged the public to disregard the claims in the video, describing them as speculative and not reflective of the professional synergy driving the Ministry.
