No black attire at Ekow Blankson’s funeral – Family reveals late actor’s wish
The family of the late Ekow Blankon has appealed to mourners to avoid wearing all-black attire, as they revealed the late actor’s instructions for his funeral before his demise.
The family said it was the late actor’s wish for his loved ones to desist from wearing dark clothes at his funeral.
A spokesperson for the family said Ekow insisted on this when he was alive.
They made this known as they also announced December 16th to 18th as the funeral dates during the one-week celebration on Saturday, October 15th, 2022.
For this reason, the family has asked sympathisers attending the funeral to wear white or other colour combinations not dominated by black.
The family said the funeral will commence at the Tema Community 11 Presec School Park and will be followed by interment at the Tema Community 9 cemetery.
The thanksgiving service will be held at the Full Gospel Church on Sunday, December 18th.
The one-week observation was attended by celebrities in the movie industry like Kalybos, Fiifi Coleman, Fred Amugi, Michael Afranie, Prince David Osei, Anthony Wood, Beverly Afaglo, and others.
Members of the Actors Guild, led by President Bill Asamoah and colleagues from the creative arts industry, were present at the one-week celebration and promised to attend the final funeral rites.
