Nigerian kidnapper jailed 3yrs for escaping lawful custody
A Takoradi District Magistrate Court has sentenced the Nigerian Kidnapper, Samuel Wills, who has refused to open up about the kidnapped girls, into 36 months imprisonment.
The jail term was handed over to the accused Monday Morning, Empire FM’s Emmanuel Ohene Gyan reported from court.
The accused who was charged initially on three counts: Escaping from lawful custody, causing damage and resisting arrest but was acquitted and discharged on the last count due to lack of evidence.
The residence magistrate, his worship Michael Ampadu, found him guilty on escaping from lawful custody and causing damage.
He subsequently sentenced him to 18 months on each of the charges.
The sentencing of Wills paves way for the substantive kidnapping case of the three Takoradi girls to be heard.
The convict who has claimed to be involved in the kidnapping of the three Tokradi girls, is believed have contacted his victims several times through mobile phone communications as he promised the first and second victims with jobs while the accused promised the third victim with a mobile phone.
