NIA announces fee revisions for registration services effective May 1

Source The Ghana Report

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced an upward adjustment to its registration service fees.

The adjustments, in line with the Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provision) Regulations, 2023, (L.I. 2481), will take effect from May 1, 2024.

For First-time registration and record update services, the fee will be GH¢310 under the premium service category.

Card replacement under the premium service will cost GH¢420 while regular card replacement costs GH¢125.

Although first-time registration and record updates remain free at the NIA regional and district offices, citizens should note the changes for card replacement services.

The NIA’s fee adjustment aims to streamline registration processes and align with regulatory provisions.
