NDC Supporters to Gather in Hohoe to Commemorate Historic June 4 Revolution

Supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today, June 4, converge in Hohoe, in the Volta Region, to commemorate the significant June 4, 1979 revolution.

The revolution, led by the late former President Jerry John Rawlings, holds immense historical importance for the party.

The event will witness the presence of NDC’s national executives and Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, daughter of the late former President, as they gather to reflect upon the ideals and principles that defined the June 4 revolution.

It is an occasion for deep introspection and a reaffirmation of the party’s commitment to these ideals.

As the historic event approaches, Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), emphasized the significance of the commemoration.

He described it as a crucial moment that allows the party to reflect on the essence of June 4th while simultaneously preparing for the upcoming governance responsibilities in 2024.

The NDC’s gathering in Hohoe will serve as a platform for the party and its supporters to recommit themselves to the principles of social justice, equality, and democratic governance espoused by the late former President Rawlings.
