A leading member of the NPP, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has described the newly elected executives of the NDC as “solid propagandists”.
In a social media post reacting to the outcome of the NDC’s internal elections, Mr Otchere-Darko said, “Congratulations to the NDC and their new national officers! Asiedu Nketia is now the Chairman-General (apologies to Kwami!) What is clear is that Ghana’s opposition party has settled on a solid team of accomplished propagandists in all departments. The strategy for 2024 is set.”

On Saturday, December 17, the opposition NDC held its 10th National Delegates Congress at the Accra Sports Stadium to elect new national officers to lead the party for the next four years.
Former President John Mahama and a host of party stalwarts attended the congress.
Mr Asiedu Nketia defeated the incumbent National Chair, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, to become the new national chairman of the NDC.
Regarding the General Secretary position, former lawmaker for Ketu South Fifi Fiavi Kwetey toppled the former deputy General Secretary, Peter Otorkunor and former Minister for Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah.
Mr Akwetey was the former Propaganda Secretary for the party.
