NDC Deputy Youth Aspirant Dies In A Gory Accident A Day Before Election
Maclean Jacob Asaah, a Deputy Youth Organizer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Amenfi East Constituency in the Western Region has died in a gory road accident.
The Western Region Communications Director of the NDC Richard Kirk Mensah who confirmed the sad news said the deceased met his untimely death while returning from a campaign tour in the constituency.
“Terrible news coming from Amenfi East indicates that the Deputy Youth Organizer aspirant from the camp of Chairman Gyan has died on the spot after a car knocked him down and one other comrade on a motorbike while they were returning from a campaign,” he indicated in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Connect FM.
“The other comrade who is a ward coordinator is in critical condition at the moment.”
He also disclosed that the primaries in the Amenfi East Constituency was suspended due to some internal issues.
A new date for the primaries was scheduled for July 3, 2023 which is today.
He noted that to avoid further postponement, the primaries will be carried out successfully today at Ankosia, a community close to Wassa Akropong.
