The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for a live broadcast of its upcoming meeting with the Electoral Commission (EC).

The meeting provides a platform to address concerns over the Provisional Voters Register (PVR) for the upcoming December 7 general elections.

In a letter to the EC, NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey emphasized that a live telecast would ensure transparency during the discussion.

The meeting, requested by the NDC on Tuesday, August 27, is meant to address serious discrepancies found during the ongoing 2024 voter exhibition exercise.

According to the NDC, the discrepancies were identified in both the Provisional Voters Register provided by the EC and those exhibited at voting centres.

The voter exhibition period ran from Tuesday, August 20 to Tuesday, August 27, during which the NDC raised concerns over the accuracy of the register.

The party believes that airing the meeting live will allow the public to follow the proceedings and ensure that all issues are addressed openly.
