National Pensioners Association honors SSNIT Director, Board chair
For their support towards the National Pensioners Association, the Board Chairman and Director General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust have been honored.
Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor and John Ofori-Tenkorang were presented with citations for their commitment to the Association
“You have refocused SSNIT business on its key stakeholders especially pensioners, your unique leadership and selfless dedication to the Trust has led to the great reforms” part of the citation read.
Listing the changes Dr. Kufour’s leadership has brought to the group, the said “pensioners are paid within 14-days of submitting their application; SSNIT donated GHC8000,000 to support the pensioners medical scheme office accommodation provided to the National Pensioners Association within some SSNIT owned building”
“NPA say ayekoo to you for your leadership and empathy towards pensioners” the citation read.
The Director-General of the Trust was also presented with a citation for his immense contribution.
“The image of the Trust has improved considerably over the past three years, SSNIT now provides multiple service delivery points which has a priority desk for pensioners”
On his part, the Board Chair said SSNIT’s priority is to improve the quality of lives of its stakeholders.
“It is this same conviction that led to the provision of Pensioner Priority Desks in the branches so pensioners do not queue, wheelchairs for those with mobility challenges and offices within some SSNIT offices for your activities”
The Director-General expressed gratitude to the group.
“This, for me will be a worthwhile legacy for me personally and the Board for our time at SSNIT” he added
