National Coordinator of School Feeding Programme, Gertrude Quashigah is dead
The National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Gertrude Quashigah, has passed away.
The news of her untimely demise on Sunday, November 12, 2023, has left a somber atmosphere among colleagues, friends, and family.
Mrs. Quashigah, born on February 1, 1960, in Dzelukope, Keta, played a pivotal role in the success of the Ghana School Feeding Programme.
As the former Chief Executive Officer of Ambar Quality Food Limited, her contributions to the Ghanaian food industry and the hospitality sector were widely recognized.
She was the wife of the late Major Courage E. K Quashigah (Rtd), a former Minister in the erstwhile Kufuor administration.
Having completed her education at Keta Secondary Senior High School, she pursued advanced studies in her chosen field, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to education and professional development.
Under her leadership, the Ghana School Feeding Programme achieved remarkable success in its mission to provide widespread access to nutritious meals for children across the nation.
