Two persons have died while several others sustained injuries after a commercial bus overturned at Nangode in the Nabdam District of the Upper East Region.
The bus was travelling from Kumasi to the Kusaug area.
According to some passengers, the Friday dawn accident occurred after the driver handed the steering wheel to his mate.
The mate reportedly lost control after the bus hit a speed hump at Nangode, causing it to overturn.
Two of the passengers died on the spot and the others sustained various degrees of injury.
Most of the injured victims are currently receiving treatment at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.
This comes after another bus carrying young Ivorian nationals on an excursion to Ghana was involved in a tragic accident at Anomabo in the Central Region.

The incident, which occurred on Monday, August 12, 2024, left one person dead and several others injured.
The bus veered off the road and somersaulted near the Anomabo Hospital, leaving many trapped inside.
According to eyewitnesses, overspeeding may have contributed to the crash, although the exact cause is still unknown.
In a heroic effort, some of the victims and onlookers worked together to overturn the bus and rescue those trapped inside.
The injured were then rushed to the nearby hospital for medical attention.
