Nana Yaa Jantuah, a former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), has formally endorsed John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), for the 2024 election.
Speaking at the NDC’s final campaign rally at Zurak Park in Madina, she expressed strong confidence in Mahama’s ability to revitalise Ghana’s economy and the urgent need for a change in governance.
“I am here because of John Mahama. I am here because I believe Ghana has to be liberated. Ghana has to be free from what is going on, and the only political party at this moment to help us out of this situation is the NDC.”
She added, “I am officially endorsing John Mahama to be the next president of Ghana. He has done it before; he has ruled this country before, and he did it perfectly well. I think it is time for us to give him a second chance to finish the good work that he started.”
The opposition NDC is holding its final rally today, Thursday, December 5, ahead of Saturday’s general elections, drawing a massive crowd to Zurak Park.
The event marks the party’s last opportunity to appeal to Ghanaians for their mandate to return to power on December 7.
The energy at Zurak Park reflects the NDC’s robust campaign efforts as party loyalists from across the country gather to support Mr. Mahama’s bid to reclaim the presidency.
