Mukarama expresses gratitude for return to Black Queens ahead of Japan friendly
Black Queens forward, Mukarama Abdulai, has expressed her excitement and gratitude for her return to the national team after a significant break.
The former Black Maidens captain has secured a place in Nora Hauptle’s squad for the upcoming international friendly against Japan, following an impressive season with Hasaacas Ladies in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
Mukarama, who led the Black Maidens to the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2018, is optimistic that working under Coach Hauptle will further enhance her skills and performance. Speaking to the Black Queens media team, she shared her feelings about her return.
“To me it is always an honor and pleasure to be here. It’s been a while and being back here is something I appreciate so much even with different kind of players and different group of girls,” she said.
”I think it has been great so far, I am always happy to here. Playing with the Queens is a long phase and the senior national team so my goal as a Player or as a person is to follow whatever the coach wants to achieve first, before personally what I expect to achieve in my career,” she added.
