MTN gives GH¢50,000 for SWAG Awards

MTN Ghana has presented a sponsorship package of GH¢50,000 for the 46th Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) Awards.

The telecommunications giant, who has over the years been the title sponsor of this annual event made the announcement at a brief ceremony at MTN House at Ridge, Accra, on Wednesday, November 10.

Mr Kwabena Yeboah, the President of SWAG, who received the cheque, expressed the association’s profound gratitude to MTN for its continuous support over the years.

The 2021 SWAG Awards Night is slated for 17 December 2021 at the Accra International Conference Centre, with 25 deserving sports personalities expected to be awarded in 32 categories.

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) recently announced that the event will be honoured by some top performers.

The Nominees

The General Assembly after critiquing the work done by the Awards Nominations Committee, endorsed and approved the final list of top performers for the 2020/21 calendar year which ended in September.

The list also includes the SWAG Top 5 where Federations that had little or no support but was active in the year under review will be ranked through voting.
