Mortuary workers declare nationwide strike effective Nov. 29, 2023

The Mortuary Workers Association of Ghana has announced that their intention to begin a nationwide strike on November 29, 2023.

In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Association, Richard Kofi Jordan stated that despite their efforts to work efficiently, their grievances remain unresolved hence their decision to embark on an indefinite strike.

The statement was addressed to six government institutions including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, National Security, the Ministry of Finance, the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, and the National Labour Commission.
