The preliminary stage draw for the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League season delivered a host of headline games, including an eye-catching all-Ghana matchup.
Tottenham Hotspur ended up getting drawn against the likes of reigning Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and German sides Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The London club also got drawn in a home game against Spanish side Villarreal CF in a matchup that sets up a clash between Spurs’ Mohammed Kudus and Villarreal’s Thomas Partey.
Kudus recently joined Tottenham on a six-year deal from West Ham United, and the move marks a return to the Champions League for Kudus, who participated in the tournament during his stint with Ajax Amsterdam.
Fellow Black Stars player Partey moved from Arsenal to Villarreal this offseason as a free agent and will return to London for the matchup.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been drawn in a game against French side AS Monaco in France, and Kudus could end up facing Black Stars defender Mohammed Salisu.

However, Salisu’s future at Monaco is unclear as the defender has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace and Greek side Olympiakos.
