Mohammed Kudus agrees a move to Ajax
Ghanaian youngster Kudus Mohammed is set to join four-time UEFA Champions League winners Ajax Amsterdam.
According to Dutch media outlet FootballOranje, the Dutch Eredivisie giants have reached a €9 million transfer deal with the Danish SuperLiga club FC Nordsjaelland for the acquisition of Kudus Mohammed this summer.
The former Right to Dream academy star is expected to finalize a five-year deal in the coming days.
Should the move be confirmed before his 20th birthday on August 2, Kudus will become the most expensive teenager in the history of Ghana football, beating current holder Bernard Mensah, who was 20 years when he joined Spanish side Atletico Madrid in 2015 for €10 million.
The Nordsjaelland star, who can play both as a midfielder and an attacker, has scored eleven goals in his 26 appearances for FC Nordsjaelland in the ongoing season.
His explosive output at the Danish club made him a top summer transfer target for several top-flight clubs in Europe including Broussia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspurs, Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, Olympique Marseille, Sampdoria, Everton, Newcastle United among others.
Mohammed Kudus had his debut game for the senior national team, the Black Stars against South Africa in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations last November, in which he scored a goal.
