Families of some four kidnapped Takoradi girls have given the Ghana Police Service a four-day ultimatum to produce the report of DNA tests which concluded that remains found at the residence of the lead suspect were indeed those of their children.

The families say they are confused as to why the police administration would want to keep the results from the family.

According to them, there has been no evidence to suggest that the results tested positive to the samples they offered to the police.

Spokesperson for the families, Michael Grant Hayford argued that prior to the tests, the police had made it known to them that they would complete the process within four weeks and the results given to them.

On August 14, 2019, a two-member medical team from the police Hospital in Accra arrived at the Western Regional Police Headquarters in Sekondi to collect DNA samples from the families of the four kidnapped girls.

This followed the assurance by the acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh, to thoroughly investigate the matter when he paid a visit to the families of the four missing girls.

News gathered by The Ghana Report has confirmed that the DNA samples retrieved from the septic tank at Kansaworodo, a suburb of Takoradi, where the key suspect, Samuel Udoetuk Wills, resided are that of the missing girls.
