Mireku Duker appointed Bawumia Campaign Coordinator for Mining Communities
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed George Mireku Duker, Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, as the Coordinator for the Bawumia Campaign In Mining Communities.
The appointment was announced in a letter signed by Fred Oware, Vice Campaign Chairman of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team.
According to the letter, Mr Duker’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the mining sector, as well as his commitment to the campaign’s success make him the ideal candidate for the role.
As coordinator, Mr Duker is expected to lead campaign activities in mining communities across the country, managing teams, coordinating events, and ensuring effective communication.
Duker’s key objectives will be to develop and implement strategies to communicate the flagbearer’s policies on the mining sector to miners, mining companies, traditional leaders, and the wider public.
“This includes miners, mining companies, traditional leaders, and the wider public. The objective is to secure widespread support for the flagbearer’s vision for the mining industry,” it said.
