Ministry is not praying, teaching and taking tithes, its winning souls – Apostle Addo to believers
“Ministry is not about praying in the church, teaching, taking tithes and offertory. Evangelising to the mentally unstable people on the street is part of the evangelism, this is the reason we are called.”
That is the challenge Head of outreach team, Apostle Joseph Addo of Christ-side Outreach International has thrown to Christians and pastors as he rallies adherents of the faith to go out and make disciples of all nations.
Explaining the context of his challenge, Apostle Addo argues that believers, most especially pastors seem to be in denial of Christ’s command.
According to him, believers have neglected the mentally challenged people on the street.
Speaking exclusively to TheGhanaReport.com at the ‘One more soul for Jesus’ outreach programme on Saturday, Apostle Addo stressed the need to open out tentacles as believers and not neglect or downplay any soul.
Apostle Addo believes there are a lot of homeless people on the street hence the need to show them love, care and support.
He argues that it is important that believers do not forget what their core mandate is “one more soul for Jesus, ” he said in an interview.
“We are here to represent Christ, that is, the absolute truth and we need to start living for others and not ourselves.
He has therefore called on believers to adhere to the teachings of the bible.
