Militia training: Mahama should know better – Atik Mohammed
General Secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC) , Atik Mohammed says allegations being leveled by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is training thugs ahead of election 2020 is a “non-starter”.
The allegation which was initiated by former President John Mahama has been described by the ruling government as ‘baseless and mischievous’.
However, the NDC that insists it has evidence the NPP is training thugs at the Asutsuare military training base.
But according to Atik, Mr. Mahama, “being a former Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, should have known that you don’t just make such allegations without any evidence. Even if there was any evidence he should have sent it to the appropriate quarters”.
“As for the training of thugs allegation, by the NDC, it’s a non-starter,” he added.
