GES extends mid-term holidays; SHS 1 and 2 Gold Track students to resume November 15
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended the resumption date for SHS Gold Track students who are currently on mid-term by three days.
The students, who were expected to resume academic work on Tuesday, November 12, have been asked to rather resume on Friday, November 15 2019.
This directive from the Education Service applies to all SHS 1 and 2 students on the Gold Track of the Double Track System.
Portions of the statement released by GES to all the regional directors of education, sighted read, “students are expected to return over the weekend [November 15, 2019] to ensure that full academic work resumes on Monday, November 18, 2019.”
The statement further explained that this directive was issued by the Service following a request made by the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) for the resumption date to be postponed.
The GES further asked all regional directors to ensure that all heads of SHSs across the country make the necessary preparations to ready their school facilities for academic work to resume on November 18 as stipulated in the statement.
