Meet Matthew Agambire, the fashion designer behind President Mahama’s inauguration outfit
Tuesday, January 7, 2025 might have been historic for Ghana having sworn in John Dramani Mahama, a former president into the highest office of the land again.
But while many celebrated the significance of the day, with global observers commending Ghana for being a beacon of hope for Africa’s outfit, one thing stood out during the inauguration which took place at the Black Star Square in Accra. And it was the President’s outfit.
Right after taking his oath administered by the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Esaaba Torkornoo, pictures of President John Mahama confidently holding the state sword flooded social media.
Interestingly, the conversations were not just about the historic moment but his outfit, adorned with Adinkra symbols.
Since then, the spotlight has been on Matthew Agambire, the creative director of Bondaana, for his creative skills.
