Medeama sack Ignatius Osei-Fosu after just three matches into new season
Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have parted company with head coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu after a poor start to the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season
Osei-Fosu joined the Tarkwa-based club three months ago as a replacement for coach Yaw Preko who was relieved of his duties for poor performance.
Osei-Fosu has since failed to make an impact at the club that currently sits 13th of the league table, with just two points after three games.
After three matches, the Mauves and Yellows are yet to record a win and in addition to that, recorded one of the worst defeats so far this season when they suffered a 4-0 thrashing by Bechem United in the season opener.
The CAF License A holder upon joining managed to add some new signings to the team for a good performance this season but it seems things are not going so well for them since the season began.
The young tactician before joining Medeama managed to keep Eleven Wonders from being relegated from the premiership last season.
Meanwhile, reports say newly-appointed assistant coach Umar Abdul Rabi is likely to take over for now on an interim basis until a new substantive coach is announced.
Medeama SC makes a trip to the Baba Yara Stadium to play King Faisal in their matchday four fixture this weekend.
