Medeama recalls Opoku Agyemang from Cape Town City loan

Ghana Premier League club, Medema SC, has recalled striker Prince Opoku Agyemang from his loan spell at Cape Town City.

The 28-year-old joined South Africa’s outfit Cape Town City on a season-long loan deal last October with an option for a further three-year extension that could keep him up at the club until 2024.

Meanwhile, the Tarkwa-based club, which is struggling in front of goal this season in the absence of Opoku Agyemang, made a call for his return barely four months with the citizens.

Medeama currently sits 9th on the league table and has scored 12 goals and conceded 11.

Both clubs earlier agreed to terminate the deal to make way for the return of the striker to the Ghana Premier League outfit.

His return is a massive boost for Medeama and coach Samuel Boadu who has struggled to replace him since his departure.

Opoku Agyemang is a member of the Black Stars B team and was one of the stands out players in the truncated 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season after an impressive scoring of 11 goals in 14 games for Medeama.
