McBrown registers 1700 people on NHIS to mark 45th Birthday
Ghanaian actress and TV personality Nana Ama McBrown surprised her fans on her 45th birthday by enrolling over 1700 people on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) at Kwadaso, in the Ashanti Region.
On Sunday, 14 August 2022, an event that saw 700 children and 1000 adults registered for the health scheme was held.
“This is part of my corporate social responsibility. This is where I grew up, and it’s only fair and proper that I give back to my people. Every two years, my foundation does something new for society. This time, I just want to register my people to have access to the NHIS card.
“It was not expensive. It’s GHS 26, but its benefits are enormous. I have experienced it, and I can testify. My NHIS came handy to supplement my bills when I had to operate on my shoulder, which developed a fracture after a motor accident,” she said.
