Masked gunmen unleashed chaos in Sampa, Bono Region, on Sunday afternoon, firing shots during a violent clash between rival groups.
One police officer was confirmed dead in the attack.
Security has since been reinforced across the township while investigations are underway.
The Police Administration has not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
