Marketing Support Limited donates GHC 10k, other items to Potter’s Village Orphanage
Marketing Support Limited, a global research firm, has embarked on an initiative to support the vulnerable by donating items worth tens of thousands to the Potter’s Village Orphanage.
The firm donated household items, including bags of rice, cartons of cooking oil, confectionaries and a cash presentation of GHC 10,000 ahead of the Christmas festivities.
This formed part of its corporate social responsibility to support orphanages, accident victims and psychiatric homes.
After the donations, the CEO of Marketing Support Limited, Mr Kunle Olutimehin, highlighted the importance of giving back to society.
He was glad about the improved welfare despite challenges faced during the year and the increasing number of orphans.
He encouraged the home keepers to be steadfast, expressing faith that helpers would always reach out to the children.
Mr Olutimehin commended the home keepers for their job of keeping the vulnerable kids off the streets.
He also encouraged the children not to despise their small beginnings but develop a humble trait.
He advised them to focus on God and not be delinquents.
On her part, Home Director of Potter’s Village, Ms Sophia Myers, thanked the firm for supporting them consecutively for the fourth year.
On the 21st anniversary of the orphanage, Marketing Support Limited donated to aid in the purchase of gravels to address the muddy environment of the orphanage.
Potter’s Village Orphanage, founded by Dr Mrs Jane Adu, is located in Dodowa with a total of 107 children.
One orphan is currently enrolled at the university. Seven are in vocational school, and another seven just completed Senior High School (SHS).
There are 15 in SHS, and one person is studying graphic designing at IPMC.
Ms Myers said the younger kids are homeschooled due to various challenges, including the unavailability of vehicles for safety.
