Manso Dadease murder: Police arrest 11 suspects
Police in the Ashanti Region have picked up 11 suspects in connection with the armed robbery and murder of three victims at Manso Dadease near Datano in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region.
The suspects were picked up on Tuesday, May 19, a day after the bloody incident in which eight robbers fired multiple shots and killed three people while wounding one person.
Joy FM reported that the Regional Crime Officer, ACP Felix Cosmos, confirmed the arrests and explained that a network of informants and police intelligence led to the apprehension of the suspects.
The police would conduct a screening exercise and those found culpable would be prosecuted.
The robbers attacked a gold dealer and snatched four pounds of gold worth over GHC 10,000 and a cash sum of GHS17,000 before they fired gunshots indiscriminately.
The deceased, include 40-year-old driver of the District Chief Executive for Amansie South, Samuel Osei, who was shot dead through the back of the pickup vehicle he was driving.
The driver was with the Health Director of the District and two other military men who were sitting at the back of the pickup. They were on a trip to Datano in the Amansie South District to educate market women on COVID-19.
The pick up was attacked on the main road after they got to the point where the robbers had mounted roadblocks.

The other deceased persons have been identified as Kwaku Danso, 60; Kwaku Mila aka Osofo, 25.
Meanwhile, a team of crime scene experts and an anti-armed robbery squad have been deployed to the location to aid investigations.
