An Accra Circuit Court has issued a warrant for the immediate arrest of suspect Anthony Kwesi Appiah.
The suspect is wanted by the Financial Forensics Unit at the CID headquarters to assist in a case of defrauding by false pretence.
He is alleged to have diverted automatic gas oil products valued at GH¢648,000.
Mr Appiah also issued a dud cheque, which was dishonoured at the bank.
Authorities believe that the suspect may be hiding in Akenteng in the Eastern Region or Lapaz in the Greater Accra Region, although he was last spotted at Lapaz.
The police are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to contact the Financial Forensics Unit at the CID headquarters or the nearest police station.
