In a tragic incident that occurred at Mustapha Plus Estate, near Potsin Junction in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, a young man, believed to be in his early 30s, has been found dead.
Information gathered indicates that he was lynched for allegedly stealing electric cables.
According to preliminary investigations, a sack containing used electrical cables, a kitchen knife, and rope were discovered at the scene. Police also found an unlicensed motorbike nearby.
The deceased had visible injuries, including blood oozing from his mouth and nose.
However, the cause of death remains unknown.
The Gomoa Potsin Police have taken the body to the mortuary and are conducting investigations to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The police are working to establish the events leading to the man’s death and potential connections to the alleged theft and the motorbike.
