Man demands GH¢320k compensation after DNA test reveals he is not the father
Kwadwo Danso, a devoted father figure for nearly two decades, was recently shocked to learn that he is not the biological father of his 16-year-old daughter.
His relationship with Akua Ataa, the girl’s mother, began almost two decades ago, and he embraced fatherhood from the moment she became pregnant.
However, rumors started circulating suggesting that Kwadwo Danso might not be the girl’s biological father due to her resemblance to another man who had moved abroad.
Seeking clarity and closure, Kwadwo Danso brought the matter to the attention of Nhyira FM’s Obra show in Kumasi, where he requested support for a paternity test to settle the matter.
The DNA test results confirmed everyone’s fears: Kwadwo Danso was not the biological father of the teenage girl, with a 99.9% certainty that she belonged to another man.
Overwhelmed by the revelation, Kwadwo Danso couldn’t hold back tears as he grappled with the emotional turmoil of the situation.
In a bid to find resolution, Kwadwo Danso proposed compensation for the 16 years he had spent as the girl’s father, suggesting GH¢20,000 per year, totaling GH¢320,000.
After negotiations, the amount was reduced to GH¢250,000, with the grandmother of the girl pleading for leniency.
Meanwhile, Akua Ataa claimed she was unaware of the other man’s paternity until the girl was eight years old, despite secretly receiving financial support from him.
These things are commonplace.
