Man declared wanted for issuing dud cheques, money laundering

The Accra High Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of suspect Job Kwesi Mensah who is currently on the run.

He is wanted for stealing, issuing false cheques, and money laundering.

Job Kwesi Mensah is described as a slim, dark-skinned man.

Authorities believe he may be hiding in Accra, Kumasi or Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.

The court, in a statement, called on the public to provide any assistance that could aid in the arrest of the suspect.

It also urged anyone with relevant information on the suspect’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.

They can also contact Inspector Bashiru on 0243 443451 or Nene on 0244887887 and the Police Crime Fighters at 18555 on MTN or Vodafone to aid in the investigation.

It added that efforts leading to his arrest will be duly rewarded.

In March 2024, the Adentan High Court also issued a warrant for the immediate arrest of one Kofi Dankwa Asante-Antwi.

The 46-year-old suspect was wanted by the Airport Police to assist in investigations into an issue of a false cheque with a face value of $80,000.

Police stated that all attempts to locate him had been unsuccessful.

Authorities believed that the suspect was hiding in and around Imperial Grove, Cantonments in Accra, or Dodowa New Site.
