A yet-to-be-identified man has been arrested for destroying several cars on the premises of Parliament in Accra.
He reportedly smashed the windscreens and windows of the vehicles parked in front of the Parliament building on Wednesday, December 12.
It took the intervention of the security officers on the premises to prevent him from causing further damage.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the officers could be seen whisking away the suspect, who appeared disoriented.
While looking up, he was heard shouting, “Daddy don’t kill them. Daddy don’t destroy my people. Father, have mercy on them. Daddy, they don’t know what they are doing… It is for your own good”.
He has since been handed over to the police.
Meanwhile, the personnel of the Ghana Police Service or the Parliament of Ghana have yet to comment on the incident.
