Male celebs easily ‘flow’ with me more than females – Akuapem Poloo

Social media sensation Rosemond Alade Brown, Aka Akuapem Poloo, is concerned about the unwelcoming nature of Ghanaian female celebrities, unlike their male counterparts.

She said it was easier for her to approach and interact with male celebrities, but the females did not open up to her.

She disclosed this on her first time meeting actress Yvonne Nelson at an event in Accra.

“It is easy to get interactions with male celebrities, but for the females, I suffer,” she lamented.

Speaking on her experience with Yvonne, for the first time, she noted that Yvonne Nelson proved her wrong about the perception she had towards female celebrities.

According to her, they exchanged contacts but refused to call Yvonne Nelson because she felt Yvonne might not respond to her call. Akuapem Poloo also added that her sister discouraged her from calling Yvonne because she had the same view about female celebrities.

Praising Yvonne Nelson, she said the actress called her some weeks later to check on her and her family.

“When I walked to Yvonne Nelson, she did not snub me. I asked for her number, and she just gave it to me. My sister even said she gave me the number out of courtesy since we were in public, and she doubts Yvonne will answer when I call her later,” Poloo detailed in an interview.

Akuapem Poloo further acknowledged Yvonne Nelson for featuring her in her upcoming KOTOKA movie, which she believes will showcase her talent and skills to the world.
