The Director of Young Executive School (YES ) and Onua Francis School International, Mr. Francis Essel Okyeahene, has called on parents to show more commitment to their children’s education.
That, he said, was to ensure that they grew up fully developed with the requisite skills and knowledge ready to help in national development.
Mr. Okyeahene, who said this after he was presented with an award by the United Clergy International Association (UCIA) Worldwide, noted that parents should not have any excuse to deny their children education since education was the key to success.
The event was held in collaboration with Bishop Anoff Achievers Leadership Awards 2021.
Mr. Okyeahene, who was presented with an Excellence in Leadership Award, said the decision to invest in education would secure a good future for children, hence the need for parents to show greater commitment in that direction.
“It is through education that we can solve most of the problems we have in this country. There is no way we can develop if we do not pay attention to education since it has the key to transform this country,” he said.
He said getting children in school and providing them with the required resources would also help address the problem of streetism in the major cities of the country.
For his part, the Facilitator of UCIA, Dr. Kwame Aburam Anoff, said the issue of corruption was a problem and, therefore, appealed to Ghanaians to help fight the canker.
