Maidens squad for U-17 World Cup qualifiers clash against Liberia announced
Head coach of Ghana’s female Under 17 team, the Black Maidens, Baba Nuhu, has released a list of 18 players to face Liberia for the U-17 World Cup qualifiers.
The encounter’s first leg will be played at the Liberian capital, Monrovia, on March 1.
The team will depart Accra on Friday.
Among the coach’s selection is the current leading scorer of Ghana Women’s Premier League, Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah of Ampem Darkoa ladies, Grace Animah and Bassira Alhassan of Pearl Pia ladies, who were part of the last Black Maidens squad.
Three teams will represent Africa for the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.
