Mahama’s appointments: Alex Segbefia, Ama Pratt, others grab top positions

President John Dramani Mahama has approved the appointment of some renowned persons to hold key positions at the Office of the Vice President.

The appointment, announced in a letter signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the acting Spokesperson to the President, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, is aimed at strengthening the governance and policy coordination within the Office of the Vice President as part of the government’s ‘Resetting Ghana’ agenda.

Among the appointees is Alex Percival Segbefia, who will assume the role of Chief of Staff to Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang; Mrs. Alberta Graham will take on the role of Head of Administration; Maame Ama Pratt will be the Press Secretary; and Professor Theresah Ennin will serve as a Presidential Staffer and Special Aide to the Vice President.

Others include Ms. Daniella Mavis Mathias, appointed as Secretary to the Vice President; Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, serving as Policy Adviser, Political; and Prof. Sharif Mahmud Khalid, serving as Policy Adviser, Economic.

The appointees are expected to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles to build a better Ghana.
