Mahama releases regional ministerial nominations
President John Dramani Mahama has officially nominated 10 people for Parliament to consider for appointment as regional ministers.
They are nominees for Oti, Volta, Eastern, Northern, North East, Upper East, Ashanti, Ahafo, Savannah, and Greater Accra.
Apart from the Greater Accra Region, where the nominee is not a regional executive of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), all nine other nominees are executive officers of the NDC in their respective regions.
The Greater Accra nominee, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, is a Member of Parliament (MP) for Shai Osudoku.
Meanwhile, the President has yet to nominate regional ministers for Western, Western North, Central, Bono East, Bono, and Upper West.
