Mahama releases first set of ministerial nominees
President John Dramani Mahama has named his first nominees to fulfil various ministerial roles under his administration.
Majority Leader Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson is the Minister of Finance designate; John Abdulai Jinapor will lead the Ministry of Energy; and Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayini will be Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, pending parliamentary approval.
The three nominees served under President Mahama during his first tenure as deputies in the respective ministries.
With the wealth of experience built over the years, they are expected to be key drivers of the policies of the new government.
The nominations were communicated via a press release by the Spokesperson of the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Thursday, January 9.
More ministers and deputies are expected to be named by President John Dramani Mahama in the coming days.
