“This is how low we’ve sunk” – Mahama condemns patient neglect incident
Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed deep concern over an incident where a patient was allegedly abandoned in a bush near Gomoa Ojobi in the Central Region.
The incident came to light through a video that surfaced online, showing a woman covered in sheets left in the bush reportedly by an ambulance from the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba.
In a social media post on Saturday, Mahama lamented what he described as a decline in humanity within the nation and questioned how such circumstances could occur.
He underscored the power of electoral decisions to significantly impact policy, governance, and the country’s overall trajectory.
“This is how low we’ve sunk,” Mahama stated, expressing sadness over the situation. He emphasized the consequences of elections, implying they play a crucial role in shaping the country’s welfare and societal values.
The incident has sparked public outcry, with many calling for accountability and improved healthcare delivery systems to prevent such occurrences in the future.
