Maame Dokono marks 80th birthday in grand style with book launch
Renowned actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, celebrated her 80th birthday with a grandiose party.
Although Maame Dokono turned 80 in June 2024, her book the “Unforgettable Maame Dokono,” which was released on Saturday, September 7, was the highlight of her birthday celebrations.
Celebrities and dignitaries converged ta the Underbridge in East Legon for the star-studded occasion.
Glitz and glamor filled the occasion as Maame Dokono, dazzled in an exquisite blue costume and was in the company of her former colleagues and industry peers to cut the ceremonial cake.
The enormous cake, which served as the celebration’s main attraction, was a suitable homage to the legendary actress.
Popular comedian DKB hosted the event which saw attendees enjoy the festive ambience and pay tribute to the actress’s remarkable career.
Maame Dokono has graced the silver screens of many Ghanaians over five decades with her exceptional acting skills in movies and drama performances.
