Lordina Mahama Celebrates Mothers as Pillars of Nation
First Lady Lordina Mahama has shared a heartfelt message with women across Ghana in celebration of Mother’s Day, honouring their strength, love, and dedication to their families and communities.
In a statement released on May 11, she praised mothers for being the foundation of their homes and central to the country’s growth.
She acknowledged their tireless work and everyday sacrifices, recognizing how essential they are to building compassionate and resilient societies.
“My dear mothers and remarkable women of Ghana, on this beautiful occasion of Mother’s Day, my heart is filled with profound gratitude and admiration for each of you,” the First Lady said. “We are the pillars of our homes and the heartbeat of our nation.”
She also assured women of her continued support through various initiatives focused on skills development, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
Through the Lordina Foundation, she reaffirmed her dedication to providing modern maternity and children’s wards in hospitals, especially to support mothers and vulnerable groups.
Healthcare for mothers and children, she said, remains a priority close to her heart, and she promised to continue advocating for better services across the country.
Lordina Mahama also echoed President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to revitalizing Ghana’s economy, creating more jobs, and making the country attractive for investment, with a focus on improving living conditions for all citizens.
She encouraged mothers to remember that their efforts are deeply appreciated.
“May God bless you abundantly for all that you do. May your day be filled with joy, peace, and the profound love you so richly deserve.”
Her message ended with warm wishes to every mother and woman contributing to the nation’s well-being.
