A new national tracking poll by Global InfoAnalytics suggests that many Ghanaians feel their living conditions are getting better compared to a year ago, signalling growing optimism about the country’s economic direction.
The survey, released on Monday, December 29, 2025, found that 56 percent of the respondents said their standard of living had improved, while 27 percent felt it had remained the same.
Only 12 percent reported a decline, with the rest undecided. Looking ahead, confidence appears strong, as 70 percent of voters believe their living standards will further improve in 2026.
Public reaction to the 2026 national budget was also positive. About 66 percent of the respondents said they were satisfied with the budget presented by Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, while 18 percent expressed dissatisfaction and 16 percent remained neutral.
On governance, more than half of those surveyed felt corruption levels had improved, and many agreed the government is doing enough to address the issue.
“The results show a clear sense of optimism among voters about both the economy and governance,” Global InfoAnalytics noted.
The poll also touched on illegal mining, with nearly half of respondents saying the galamsey situation has not worsened under the current administration, including those living in mining communities.
